UVM Inductively Coupled Plasma Facility

This image displays some of the equipment which I used for my research. The chamber emitting light is where a plasma is generated, behind the chamber is a 30kW power supply, and a class IV laser system is located in the back left with various optics situated throughout the lab.

Image: CO2 Plasma with a Copper Sample

This image shows the UVM Inductively Coupled Plasma Torch creating a CO2 plasma with a copper sample in the plasma flow. My graduate research focused on the chemical reactions occurring near the surface of this sample, among others.
